Hi everybody,
My name is Matt
Garver and I'm a sophomore at Penn State studying Civil Engineering. In my free time I love hanging out with
friends and playing sports, going for hikes, playing games, and going on road
trips. I'm also involved with the
Navigators Christian ministry on campus and that's where a lot of my close
friends come from. As far as
family goes, I have three older brothers, two who live in Illinois and one who
lives in Colorado, and my mom and dad who live in my hometown of West Chester,
Pennsylvania.
Since coming to
college God has really challenged me to see my relationship with Him as a
never-ending process that takes more effort, discipline, love, and knowledge
than I am capable of generating.
Fortunately that's where He comes in. Last summer I went on a mission's trip to Africa and it was
an amazing and heart breaking experience.
There's just something about seeing God work in people's lives that is
so exciting because you get to see God on such a personal level. I am trying not to limit God only to
working in foreign third world countries, because I know he can and does work
in our everyday lives. That being
said, I am really excited for this summer and looking forward to meeting the
team!
